1. Dubrovnik, LDDU – 27.10.2007 – 600 NM – 4:24

It was an easy flight over the Alpes but all the mountains were covered by clouds. As so often we only met people demanding money and don’t treat you as a guest.

2. Luxor, HELX – 28.10.2007 – 1335 NM – 9:00

Till the Pelepones/Greece we flew full in IMC. Over El Alamein the desert welcomed us which accompanied us till Luxor. For us this is always a fascinating landscape, we love the desert.

Bang, a sack of cement felt from his shoulders and spread like powder on the pavement. Our T-shirt street trader rushed to us showing all his joy and kissed me. Fortunately, I wore shoes otherwise they would be kissed, too. This was the third time we met him in Luxor.

3. Bahrain, OBBI – 30.10.2007 – 995 NM – 7:41

A fantastic and enjoyable flight over Saudi Arabia; only desert. This time we were deeply disappointed from Manama and on the “Arabic” word you can’t count any more; it is only a legend.

4. Karachi, OPKC – 01.11.2007 – 945 NM – 7:26

Deep blue skies during our flight to Karachi but nevertheless fairly boring and so got we got dozy. Upon arrival we were immediately quick-witted as an overwhelming welcome was arranged by the President of the AOPA-Pakistan.

At the Hotel Mercure we received a personal welcome from the Manager with a beautiful flower bouquet. In the room we found further surprises: a large gateau, a basket with fruits and many other delicious goods. We made the same experience like the last time: Pakistani are still very friendly and helpful people.

5. Kalkutta, VECC – 3. – 6.11.07 – 1210 NM – 8:31

A typical flight in haze over the Indish Continent, so we couldn’t see very much. But it was the 4. night approach on this journey and again a flying adventure.

Without exaggerating something Calcutta is the dirtiest, stinking and overcrowded town in the world, actually a dump. We’ve the opinion that people live life in the manner of their religion. But you shouldn’t forget, India is ruled by people and not by God.

On wish we have: All the Indish official should be treated in the same way upon arrival and departure in Germany as we experienced it in India.

6. Chiang Mai, VTCC – 6.11.07 – 710 NM – 5:08

Bangladesh seemed to be over flooded what we saw during our flight. The arrival in Chiang Mai was again at night as the Indish officials treated us in an impolite way for 5 hours at the airport. The first impression in Thailand: you feel welcomed and a clean and friendly country.
